Our history

Our history started in 1953 with a small workshop in the heart of the city of Bologna, thanks to the work of Mauro Labanti and Emilio Nanni. In what was one of Bologna’s first printing houses, the two founders laid the foundations of their company’s culture. The latter has been consolidated by Antonio and Fabio Bonacini, together with Andrea Fanti and all company management for 25 years. They have kept the company founders’ attention to details and customization unchanged but, at the same time, they have adopted industrial production processes and methods.

The AGR Group

AGR Group is a group of privately owned companies and a leading manufacturer of solid and laminated paperboard packaging, multi-material displays and point-of-sale solutions. The Group has a turnover of €245 million (60% domestic market, 40% exports) and employs 705 people across 10 production sites in Italy, France and Poland.

Labanti & Nanni joined the Group in 2025, becoming fully integrated into an ecosystem that has grown through the strategic acquisition of specialised companies. Financial strength, innovation, creativity, transparency and sustainability guide the Group, which invests 5% of its turnover in research and development and its in-house laboratories.
